On Thursday, April 30, Marian Catholic High School hosted its annual Baccalaureate Mass, marking the final school-wide liturgical celebration of the year and honoring the graduating Class of 2026. The mass served as both a spiritual reflection and a celebration of our seniors as they embark on their new journeys.
Spartans were joined together in faith and gratitude to reflect on their own personal journeys throughout the school year and honor the seniors who will be moving on to the next chapters of their lives. The mass included personalized reflections from selected seniors as well as messages from Dominican preachers, emphasizing ideas of growth, faith, and perseverance. A praise dance performance added a moment of artistic worship, contributing to the reflective and celebratory tone of the event.
During the liturgy, students played an active role in contributing to the Mass as altar servers and lectors, helping lead parts of the service. Father Leonard Dubi delivered words of encouragement to the senior class as they prepared to move forward beyond Marian Catholic. His message focused on carrying faith and values into future pursuits.
The Mass also included the presentation of gifts and the communion rite, where seniors presented pivotal possessions that contributed to the journey at Marian Catholic. Following the service, a reception was held where senior students and their parents came together to celebrate and enjoy light refreshments.
The Baccalaureate mass is a significant part of Marian Catholic tradition, honoring the achievements of graduating seniors while also reminding them of the faith community that stands beside them beyond their place at the school
