At Marian Catholic, many clubs and organizations come together, cultivating new ways of honoring the cultures and backgrounds of other students. Since the start of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 15, the Marian Catholic school community has contributed to honoring Hispanic culture in a multitude of ways, including art.
On September 22, 2026, Art Club advisor Ms. Torrez brought Hispanic Heritage Month into the art room, where students created trading cards celebrating Hispanic culture and heritage. Students used paint and patterns, embellishing papers with images of influential figures from the Hispanic community.
Art Club members remarked that the day was a great way of not only bringing the community together to celebrate culture, but also that many found solace in combining their own passions of art, whether through colors or sketches, as an honor to cultural influence.
Art Club’s next meeting will be September 29, 2025 and they will be collaborating with the Hispanic Student Coalition to paint the Main Hall windows to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month . See Ms. Torrez in the Art Room for any additional questions.
